River Associates Investments, LLC has a seventeen (17) year track record as a private equity partner for management teams in buyouts, divestitures and recapitalizations of lower middle market companies. Founded in 1990, River Associates has invested in companies operating in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, high-margin distribution, industrial services and non-faddish retail. The firm will invest throughout the United States and Canada and focuses on companies with adjusted operating income (EBITDA) ranging from $2-10 million. River Associates is currently investing River V, L.P., a $110 million committed capital fund, which, due to an extended fund life and patient capital investor base, has the differentiated ability to hold a portfolio company investment much longer than most private equity group sponsors.

The principals of River Associates have diverse backgrounds including operations, finance, accounting, commercial banking and investment banking. On the front end of a transaction, we are very hands-on in our approach. As such, we typically handle all due diligence matters ourselves. By doing so, we can make informed decisions and move quickly to a closing. As an opportunistic private equity group, we will consider investments into companies where there are unusual issues that might cause other investment groups to avoid a given opportunity. In addition, we have experience in the acquisition of quality companies that are in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings due to extraordinary reasons or balance sheet issues.
